A striking example of Scandinavian modernist design, this Danish mid century modern “Superstar Falcon” coffee table from the 1970s was produced by Genega Møbler as part of the Superstar range, created to complement the iconic Superstar Falcon leather lounge chairs. The design clearly reflects the influence of Norwegian designer Sigurd Ressell’s celebrated Falcon series, translating the same sculptural, floating aesthetic into a beautifully engineered coffee table.

Its base is crafted from bentwood beech, stained in a rich, warm tone. The table features a circular glass top, original to the piece, which shows only minor age related surface scratches consistent with careful vintage use. The interplay between the flowing bentwood frame and the floating glass top, which rests directly on the frame, results in a sculptural yet highly practical piece.
