For change-of-mind purchases, full-priced items may be exchanged for another product or store credit within 7 days of purchase. Items must be returned in the same condition as when they were originally purchased. Please note that if the item is the wrong size for your needs, it will be considered a change of mind. We highly recommend measuring carefully before making your purchase. The same applies to delivery: ensure there is adequate access to your location prior to delivery. Additionally, the cost of returning items due to a change of mind is the responsibility of the customer.
Store credit is valid for two years from the date of purchase. This credit may be used for future purchases at our store.
In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, we are committed to ensuring that your purchase functions as it should. While we take great care in restoring these items, due to the age and unique history of each piece, there may be some imperfections or distinctive characteristics inherent to vintage furniture. We encourage our customers to carefully inspect each item before purchase, as every piece has its own quirks and features.
If an item is not functioning properly or behaves differently after leaving the store, we will make every effort to repair it, taking into account its age, condition, and the duration of time it has been in your possession. If we are unable to repair the item, we will offer a refund in compliance with Australian Consumer Law and Consumer Affairs regulations. Should a refund be required, a full refund will be provided.

We offer a 24-hour hold on available items, unless otherwise agreed upon. Please note that our furniture pieces are unique, one-off items, and availability is limited. We kindly ask for your understanding that these items need to remain available for other customers after the hold period.
At 20th Century Scandinavia, space is limited due to regular shipments and the high volume of furniture we manage. Therefore, storage is not available unless specifically discussed and arranged with the owner in advance. All goods must be collected within 1 week of purchase, unless prior arrangements have been made. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us manage our storage space effectively. If needed, we are happy to provide a quote for delivery to your storage facility or to a friend’s house for safekeeping.
